Technical details
Paper outer: 60 to 100 gsm natural kraft paper, FSC-certified, with natural fibre texture and matte finish that cannot be replicated by paper-effect printed plastic.
Compostable barrier lining: PLA or NatureFlex inner layer provides oxygen and moisture barrier for coffee, tea, dry herbs, and powdered products. Both are home and industrial compostable, certified by TÜV OK Compost.
Inks and finishes: Soy-based printing inks free from mineral oils. Matte finish preserves the raw paper look. Water-based varnishes and natural kraft windows available when visible product display is needed.

Features
Formats available: Flat pouch, stand up paper pouch, side gusset paper bag, or flat bottom paper pouch. Paper adapts to most pre-made pouch constructions with adjusted seal parameters.
Closure options: Paper-coated wire tin tie, press-lock zipper in mono-material PE (recyclable but not compostable), or heat-seal only for single-use formats. Tin tie remains the most popular closure on paper pouches because it matches the material story.
Kraft window option: Biopolymer window in PLA lets customers see the product without breaking the compostable certification, unlike traditional PET windows that contaminate the waste stream.
Regulatory fit: Meets EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) 2030 targets for compostable and fibre-based packaging. Answers California SB 343 truth-in-labelling requirements for compostable claims.
